A vengeful Hope Stape has been using David Platt’s stuffed weasel – named after actor Vin Diesel – in her plot against Peanut the dachshund, but she gets rumbled when Tyrone Dodds deploys his hidden odontology skills to match Hope’s ‘bite’ marks with Vin’s fangs.

The surreal tone continues when Gemma Winter expresses a desire for a themed wedding and Chesney Brown proposes hiring a llama. Gemma confuses South American camelids with the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people, until Chesney explains he’s talking about ‘a tall goat’. At The Rovers, Christina Boyd and Jenny Connor are butting heads like goats. Christina aims a very low blow by saying Jenny dresses in ‘Liberace’s cast-offs’. Jenny retorts that Christina’s husband would even have run off with Ma Baker in order to get away from her. Ma Baker was a Top Ten hit in the UK for Boney M in 1977 and the song was based on the life of the American crime matriarch Ma Barker (the name was changed to Baker ‘because it sounded better’). Whichever way it’s said, Christina doesn’t like the sound of it one little bit. She squares up to Jenny, who can’t help laughing at the sight of ‘The Karate Kid in a push-up bra’. Thankfully, they make their peace. As Mr Miyagi said: ‘The best fight is when you don’t have to fight.’
