Max Turner tags along when Lauren Bolton visits her dad Reece in prison. Max is something of an expert on tagging after wearing an electronic device on his ankle for weeks. Reece sticks to what he knows by making small talk about true-crime documentaries. At The Corner Shop, Asha Alahan has a different reality TV genre in mind when she mocks her brother Aadi for boasting about his business prowess. ‘Spoken like a true failed Apprentice candidate,’ she jeers. He calls Asha a Muppet for suggesting he’s in love with Amy Barlow. Asha is right, of course, because Aadi’s feelings for Amy are on a par with Miss Piggy’s for Kermit. At The Rovers, Chesney Winter-Brown also labels Kirk Sutherland a member of the fuzzy-felt puppet troupe. Chesney is amazed when the Underworld driver and packer reveals he once became ill while attempting a Dry January. Kirk thought the alcohol-free month meant he had to forego all liquids. It’s lucky he doesn’t smoke because taking part in Stoptober would probably have seen him shut down all his bodily functions.
